| Rozen Maiden |
Okay, so on Friday I was watching some videos on YouTube, when I came upon the opening of the anime series Rozen Maiden. After seeing it, I just HAD to download the series. It finished downloading about an hour ago, and I've watched the first episode.
The only way I can describe the opening is kinda dark. Not just the animation- the song too. For your enjoyment, here are the lyrics to this addicting, creepy song:
Kinjirareta Asobi (English: The Forbidden Game)
Putting on a collar of roses, holding a silver chain in your mouth, I detest you, for again you have climaxed alone. Down on your knees, lick the bitter drops of love, As a farewell, I shall give you blue dressage. In a casket named "I", my heart moves still, Torn wings revive in the moonlight and moistens. Lonliness is more frightening than darkness. Under the cross, let us devour the proof of our union. Unlocking the handcuffs, holding each other's white wrists The miracle of each other's caress, I truly love you. Down on your knees, offer the painful words of love. Red arabesque stained into gauze, I care not if it is a sin, please say you love me, And give me a kiss forbidden.
And for those of you who are wondering, Rozen Maiden is about this guy who swears to protect/be the servant of this doll.
I'm really liking it so far.

It's been awhile. Here's what's been happening lately:
Last Saturday, I watched Transamerica with my family. I really don't know what to say about it except that it certainly was different than any other movie I've seen. On Sunday, we went to Barnes & Noble. I got the 10th volume of Negima! Huzzah! Later, we went out to eat at Ruby Tequila's. Just as I was sitting down on the bench, waiting to be seated, Heather just appeared in my lap. That was weird. What a coincidence that we should both go to the same restaurant at the same time. Richard supposedly got home while we were there. I didn't see him at all until Monday though. Monday was a very busy day. First swimming, then work, then a very quick lunch, then to Dr. Corbin's office to get spacers, then home, then to school to get that verification of attendance form, then home, then to drivers ed. Sheesh. Drivers ed, as expected, is boring. Interesting story. On Friday (June 2nd), my parents went to a benefit for child diabetes. Several items had been donated to be auctioned off to raise money. Dr. Corbin just so happened to be auctioning off a $1000 certificate for dental work. And since I'm just starting the process of getting braces and implants, my parents bid on it. However, another couple kept bidding on it too. The price went higher and higher until my parents finally won it for $2000. Well, it was for a good cause (plus, that's about how much my parents had planned on spending on the first place). Tuesday. BAD! I had an actual nightmare. I never have nightmares. *shudder* It was terrible. Anyway, a drug rep came to the office with COOKIES. ^_^ And then, about ten minutes later, my mom arrived from the hospital. After she finished her surgery, she stopped by the doctors' lounge and got us some COOKIES. Whee! Nothing of particular interest that I can remember on Wednesday. On Thursday, I was soooooooooooo tired. In fact, about 10 minutes before leaving the office, I clocked out and lied down on my mom' couch. I don't get enough sleep. I could hardly stay awake at drivers ed. On a different note, Gracie helped Mrs. Dunlap babysit her two-year-old grandson. I think she had a good time. Friday, for some strange reason, I felt better. There weren't as many people at swimming due to a swim meet this weekend that I honestly wasn't aware of. (That's a good thing.) Some newspaper guy came to interview some people and take pictures because of the Sandie swim camp that none of senior swimmers were aware was going on, coached by Coach Douglass, who we weren't even aware showed up ever (according to Coach DeMar, he showed up a couple of times....). I started watching Full Metal Panic with William and Gracie. I like it...even if William makes fun of me. Despite what he says, I am NOT obsessed with girls panties or fan service. Ugh. Just because the best episode of Mai HiME I've seen so far (I've only seen 4) happened to have a panty thief... Anyway, I seemed to have somehow acquired a pair of light blue gaucho pants? It's true, my friends. My mom has this friend who sometimes gives me and Gracie stuff. So, yeah...
The waking up at 5:30 thing hasn't gone away. It's gotten worse. This week, I've started waking up closer to 5 AM. And on Friday, I woke up at 3. I want to be able to sleep like a normal person. ='(
I finally finished The Sandman, so now I'm on to V for Vendetta.
On Thursday, my mom is going to have a big surgery. *cough* And I do mean big, if you know what I mean. She's not going to be seeing any patients afterwards. And not just because of the large surgery. There's going to be some talk about the insomnia drug Lunesta and they're serving lunch at Outback for it. So all of us are going to go to that. FREE FOOD! ^_^ We have a plan to get meals we couldn't possibly eat all of so we can take the leftovers home and get TWO free meals out of it.
Okay, it's well known to swimmers that summer practice means the occasional doughnuts. To me, this makes no sense. I mean, we just finished exercising. Doesn't eating a doughnut ruin that? And that is why I've already given away the two I've gotten already. The next one goes to Eleysa.
Well, that's all I can think of to say for now.

Today I watched the first two episodes of an anime series called Pretty Cure. It's really just your average magical girl show. Nothing special. Even so, I found it amusing (partially due to the ridiculousness of it all). I had some laughs especially during the ending. If you're interested, you can see it here.
In other news, Richard comes home tomorrow.

Hello friends. Let's go over what's happened the past few days.
The summer swimming schedule started on Tuesday. Now my summer will be filled with two hour swimming goodness. I will leave it up to the reader to decide whether that last comment was sarcastic or not. I also started my summer job on Tuesday. People have tried to tell me it's not a real job because I'm working for my mom, but I beg to differ. I don't even see her the entire time Gracie and I work. We're really helping Lisa and Kathy do stuff.
On Wednesday, swimming was canceled due to lightning. Dang it. I want that kinda stuff to happen when I'm starting to get sick of practice- not on the 2nd day. My dad and Gracie flew to Dallas to receive an award for State Recognition on the SAT. Richard, William, and I all got the same award when we were in seventh grade. My mom jokes that instead of having a trifecta, we've had a quadrifecta. Anyway, when you disregard the writing portion on Gracie's test, I had the highest overall score, but Grace came the closest to National Recognition. If she had gotten two more correct answers on the English part, she would've made it. Anyway, since Grace was in Dallas, I went to work alone. Lisa had me start on shredding the old charts. We're borrowing my aunt's shredder to make it go faster. It can take up to about 20 sheets at a time and can go through staples and paperclips. Our shredder says it can take up to 15 sheets at a time, but due to problems we've had, we only do 3. So I spent quite awhile on those charts. I managed to fill up 4 large trash bags and yet I've barely made a dent in the huge piles of charts. I thought it was pretty fun though.
Yesterday, we had plenty of fun jesting about Abby's tan at swimming. Once you go black, you NEVER go back. I didn't go to the office; there wouldn't be a point. My mom had two surgeries meaning she wouldn't be spending much time, if any at all, at her office. I spent my time watching the National Spelling Bee. That was pretty exciting. I was really hoping the girl from Amarillo would win, but when she got out, I wanted Saryn Hooks to win. It really cool how she was reinstated after the judges realized they had made a mistake. Sadly, she only got 3rd. After she was out, I wanted the Canadian girl, Finola, to win. She got 2nd. Dang it. I'm not a very good speller.
Every morning this week, I've woken up at about 5:30 feeling really excited and can't get back to sleep. I want to sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. As if I don't already have enough sleeping problems. =_= I'm the only one capable of getting ready for swimming on time. Grace sits in front of the tv wasting time and my dad walks out of his room when we should be in the car leaving and says he still needs to make his coffee. This is very frustrating. So swimming wasn't particularly eventful this morning. Some parents brought doughnuts, so I gave my to Grace (which she then shared with our cousins). Grace was too tired to go to the office, so I went alone. I'm definately going to make sure she does all the filing next Monday since the amount to do today was far above average. I also managed to fill two more trash bags with old charts. Unfortunately, my mom figues out too late that she has too keep OB charts a lot longer than the normal ones. There's a chance I've already shredded some. Since I was only shredding the ones from '94 and '95, there shouldn't be too many though.
William's grades came in this week. He still has a perfect 4.0 from his classes at UT. I'm happy for him and everything...but why the heck did he have to go raising the bar like that!?
Driver's Ed starts Monday. Bleh! The only good thing about it is that it provides a good excuse for not going to afternoon practice.
That's all for now kiddies!
