Halloween Fun!
Well, I suppose this is kind of required.
Happy Halloween!
I love costumes.
As most of you know, I wore a Star Trek costume to school today. Interestingly, today I learned that George Takei, Sulu from the orginal Star Trek, is gay.
Uh...yeah. That's about it. I have done the mandatory holiday post.

You know what? I had my entire post about the Abilene meet typed up and ready to be posted, and then SOMEONE got on my computer and somehow shut down my computer. In retaliation, none of you get read about it. |

Revved Up
Ack, such a disappointment. The Dave Barry thing was canceled due to Hurricane Wilma. Jeez. My life has been affected by hurricanes 3 times this year. 1.) The artist of the web comic .RAGNAROK lived in New Orleans. The comic is still down. 2.) The artists of the web comic Misfile live in Florida. 3.) Now the Dave Barry thing.
Well darn.
In other news, my toes are demented and always have been. Today, Three took an interest in my crooked toes. Bleh. Is there nothing more interesting to say today?
My mom sent an e-mail to my teachers asking for make-up for Friday. What some (ahem, one) of them say kinda scares me. So here's a contest. Which one of my teachers said "Woo hoo !!!!!!!!!!! She is a real sweetie." That's the line I found most disturbing. So was it: Vanillawafer McKissack Nash Sample Perry or "The Dear Dr." (that's what George calls her)
I don't know if I'll be able to finish my Halloween caption contest picture in time. How sad.
And that's about it...

San Angelo Invitational
Okay. That was the strangest trip of my life.
So, I woke up at 4:45 and packed and stuff, then my mom drove me to the AHS parking lot. We had two vans. In my van, the set up was like so:
Coach D Kaytlin Abby Aly Erin Nikki Rachel Me Ricca GAV Brooke
So, once everyone arrived (Heather and Amelda got there late, so they had to ride with the boys) we left and went to Starbucks. Man, the nutritional value of what I ate went way down during this trip. I got a frapaccino. That was basically my breakfast (at 5 AM). So then we left town. Kaytlin played her iPod. Ugh. Most of what was played throughout the trip was so girly and popular sounding! It was terrible, but every once in awhile a song was played that I liked. (Axel F. for example) So we all tried to get some sleep, but I didn't succeed. I cannot sleep in cars. I was just lucky I didn't get sick. So after some potty stops and such, we stopped at a McDonalds to get breakfast. I didn't feel like I could eat anything, so all I had was one of those hash brown things that someone didn't want. I read, worked in my word search book, and listened to my iPod for most of the rest of the way. At about 11:30 or 12, we arrived at the pool. My gosh! San Angelo Central is set up like a freakin' college! They this pretty layout and all these sports facilities. It made AHS look extrememly pathetic. We warmed up. Then a lot of teams did cheers. We didn't do any though because they couldn't agree on anything. People (i.e.- Kaytlin) got very frustrated with other people (i.e.- Jason, Luis, and some other guys) because they refused to do any cheers she (sorry- they) came up with. Actually, I'm glad. As you all know, I hate cheers and pep rallies and such. I didn't even know how the cheers they suggested went. On to the meet. I was in the very first event. I hate being in the first event of a meet. What was even worse was that I was in the first heat of the first event. It was the 200 Medley relay. Since I did the breaststroke, I did the secend leg. They started the race just a couple seconds after I got up to the block area, so I was still nervous when I started. We were behind because of our backstroke person, so I was very happy with myself when I caught us up. We ended up 2nd in our heat (of three groups -_-'). Now, I WAS going to be in event 7 - the 50 free. On Brad's sheet it showed me in that event, but apparently they didn't enter me into it since I wasn't on the heat sheet. Oh well. I don't like the 50 free anyway ^_^. After event 8, there was a break. I spent this time going to get two cookies (my entire lunch). There were no events 9 or 10. It just skipped from 8 to 11. That was strange. During event 15, I was told I was going to be in event 17- 200 free relay. That freaked me out because no one had bothered to tell me beforehand. And then we didn't even know what order our relay was going to be in. Finally, Brad came out of the coachs' office and told us. Event 15 and 16 were the 500 events luckily. Otherwise we wouldn't have been ready for event 17. I had to start the relay. I hate starting relays. If I could've, I would've switched with Brooke since she likes starting. We won our heat. ^_^ That was very important because (supposedly) the A relay (I was in B) was being really cocky and smug towards us. I, of course, wasn't witness to any of that though. My next event was the 100 Breast. My only personal event. I was nervous because I was in lane 1. (Lanes 1 and 6 are almost always the slowest lanes). But I came in 2nd (in my heat). That me very happy. What made me even happier was that I cut almost 3 seconds off my time. ^_^ I was about to take a shower, but then Eleysa made me watch her relay. Heck, if I had just gone ahead and taken one, I probably would've been done before her event even started. -_-' Oh well. In the girls' locker room, I heard 1 or 2 girls retching. Eww. Blah, blah, blah. We left. It was already 6:30 or 7 by that time. We went to our hotel and soon found out they gave us smoking rooms. We were going to go to Cheddar's for dinner, but since it took so much time to switch us to non-smoking rooms, we went to Quizno's instead. As a freshman, everyone was allowed to cut me in line. That stunk since I was one of the first people in line. Then Mike tried to steal my crackers and made me spill my drink on myself. I felt high on life and people thought I had gone insane since I was jumping around and acting very unlike my normal quiet self. I also learned something new about myself. I lapse into accents without realizing it sometimes when I'm hyper. Hmm... that's cool. Then we went back to the hotel.... and the dreaded makeover commenced. It was awful. Ask any and they'll tell you I was grimacing the whole time. RACHEL FREAKIN' PLUCKED MY EYEBROWS! (Luckily not very much.) The whole thing was so stupid and I didn't look anything like myself. But everyone else seemed to like it and kept complimenting me. That made it worse. Blech. Anyway, the pictures are on the previous post. They really don't do the makeover justice. I looked less like myself in real life. (I couldn't stand to even look at myself in a mirror for more than a second at a time). Also- Grace Anne isn't very good at operating cameras. Another downside to the makeover- I wanted to watch the Family Guy movie, but didn't get too. Oh well, I heard it (the watching of, not the actual movie) was a flop. According to Brooke, Jason and her were the only two to show up, and he got the wrong idea and started putting his arm around her so she made up and excuse and left. About 15 min. after my torture ended, we all had to go back to our rooms and go back to bed. First thing I did was get that stuff off me. I was going to share a bed with Heather, but after 10 min., she and Aly switched. I think now is the best to say this. It didn't even occur to me that I would have to, but here goes -There is so much drama within the team. It makes me sick! All the talking behind others backs and and the exaggeration of situations. So then Heather and Aly talked for a long time. They accidently woke Wendy up. She talked with them too. For a little while (it couldn't have been more than about 5-10 min., though it felt like a long time), I fell asleep. I woke up to Heather saying (remember, this whole time they've been talking about what they think of other girls and the Aly/Cy situation), "...I like Sarah." Wendy replied, "Yeah, me too." Heather- "Sarah, are you awake?" I didn't reply. I just listened to them for about another half hour until they figured out I was awake. Then, at about 1:30, they FINALLY stopped talking. I was so tired when we had to get up. I got ready, went to the breakfast area, ate 2 muffins, went back to my room to get my stuff, and left on the bus. We went back to the pool for the finals. I, of course, didn't make it. I sat around the pool, working in my word search book, for a long time. It was very boring, hot & humid, and it gave me a really bad headache. Basically all around miserable. I bought some crackers. That was my lunch. Then, near the end of the meet, came the most exciting part. Chris's parents and siblings came to the meet. So, I talked to Kaytlin (his sister, not Lee). She was watching over their brother Eric. I've probably said this before, but HE'S SO CUTE. ^_^ And he gave me hugs. It was adorable! When it was finally over, we left. At one gas station we stopped at, I got a stick of beef jerky. I guess that counts as lunch too. Long ride, stops at gas stations.....dinner. We went to Fuddrucker's. As expected, upperclassmen cut me a lot. I wasn't the last to order though. Thomas was nice and let me go ahead of him and Abby, Aly, and the coaches were behind me. But guess what! I was the very last one to get food. I was standing around for several minutes after everyone else got their food. Not fair. Back on the van. Much talking. About 30 min. out of Amarillo, we had conversation about scary movies and scary dreams. Some of what the girls said was really freaky. I feel sorry for Brooke. Anyway, I'm very lucky. I recently found out that I do have bad dreams, but I'm incapable of remembering them. Ha! ^_^ Finally got to the AHS parking lot, my dad picked me up, got home, BED.
And there you have it. The San Angelo meet. I probably left out many (unimportant) details. This is all you get.

Lubbock Relays
So... yesterday was the meet. I got up, packed my bag, and my dad drove me to AHS. Oh my gosh! RON WAS THERE TO SEE US OFF!!! I was so happy! (Aren't you jealous, Eleysa?) But then he left. =(
At about 9 AM, we left for Lubbock. I sat by Tori and just read and listened to music the whole way while everyone else talked and watched The Longest Yard. We stopped at Wendy's for lunch. I found out Stephanie is a Wiccan. That's cool. Then we got back on the bus and drove the rest of the way to the pool. We all put on our suits. Brad almost all of the girls suits that were black and gold, but by the time I got there, he had just given away the second to last one (one that happened to be in my size) to Aly. All that was left was a 36. -_-' So I just used my practice suit (which happens to be in Pampa colors). AHS, THS, and CHS were all supposed to share ONE bleacher. My gosh. That's not nearly enough room for everyone. Then we warmed up. A full hour later, the meet finally started. (How was warm up supposed to help us if the meet didn't start for so long?) There were a lot of teams there. I'd say about 15-20. Just so all you non-swimmers know, the thing people worry about most in relays are false starts. Also, there a relay team sometimes does a little prayer and the relay cheer before their race. (Yes, I did participate in said prayers and cheers.) I was in the very first event- heat 4. I did a 25 breast in the 100 Medley. We got 2nd place! Heck yes! My next event was the 200 breaststroke relay. I (lucky me -_-') got to go first. Now, every experienced swimmer knows that whenever they say "Swimmers take your marks....stand up" someone ALWAYS falls in. Well, this time it was me. -_-' I didn't actually mind much because I know how often it happens, but we finally did start the race, I dived in way too deep. It didn't actually make much difference since Lubbock was way ahead of everyone else anyway. We got 2nd again!! After that and a few other events, they had the fun events! I wish so much that I could've been in the inner tube relay. It looked so fun! Same with the fin relay. The t-shrit relay I was told I was going to be in got scratched or something- so I was in all serious races. =( Next was event 11. The 300 Medley. I went 2nd. I did my 100. WE GOT FIRST PLACE! HECK YES!!!!!!!!! We had a break after event 12. At this point, AHS was in 2nd place pointwise. ^_^ (And of course, Lubbock High was winning.) Now, that would've been all of my events, but Erin had to leave early. I took her place in the 200 Fly relay. I was a bit worried about getting disqualified for my feet, so I was extra careful. Now that's over, I feel I could've gone faster, but my stroke felt flawless, so I was really happy. Futhermore, we got 2nd! ^_^ All through the meet, my relays went great. Since #14 was my last event and there were 24 events in all, I went ahead and took my shower. But first I spent some time talking to Elle. Her dad is insane. He told her she was going to hell and all this other stuff because she got her nose pierced. He hasn't talked to her since. 0.0 Anyway, we really wished Eleysa had been there. To complete the circle and fill in those awkward silences. Then I took my shower and got dressed. Then more talking to people. My gosh. Lubbock did a cheer practically every other event throughout the whole meet. It was pretty ridiculous. Overall, I did a lot of talking to people. Between each event and afterwards and such. I met Clay's parents. Blah, blah, blah. It was fun. There was some hugging too. GAV practically forces herself onto you. -_-' In the end, AHS got 3rd place. San Angelo barely beat us, and if we hadn't been disqualified in 3 certain events. Oh well. We still did really well.
Then the new swimmer boys realized their clothes had been stolen. It was time for their initiation. ^_^ They came out.... dressed in really short girls' shorts and short, tight Hooters t-shirts. It was hilarious! The people with cameras got plenty of pictures. I really hope their either shown on the announcements or are put in the yearbook!
Then we left the pool and headed for a restaurant to eat at. After awhile, we realized we had left Wendy at the pool by accident. We had to go back to get her, and to save time we just got pizza from Pizza Hut for dinner. On the bus ride back, I sat by Clay. He's a nice guy. Very polite too. ^_^ I talked to him and other people on the team. We started watching White Chicks, but the DVD screwed up, so they put in The Incredibles. Some girls brought some makeup and put it on the Hooters guys. It was really funny. I think Chris's makeup job was the best, but Kenneth looked the best overall (perhaps because he so dang tall). It's too bad Mike didn't cooperate very well (he wore his jammers under the shorts) =(. They say they have a really good initiation planned for the girls, but it won't be anything humiliating like what they did to the guys because someone my complain and it would be considered hazing. Phew! But... I did agree to something I know I won't like. On the San Angelo trip (next weekend), Aly and Nikki are going to give me a makeover. -_-' Ugh. Speaking of San Angelo... I get to miss a day of school! Which means I only have to go to school 3 days this week! ^_^
(I'm so proud of my three 2nds and one 1st.)
That's all I can think of right now. Sorry it took so long.

Pasta Party
Ugh. Wow. That was eventful.
So, I went to the pasta party at the Pierce's house. I was one of the first to arrive, so Mrs. Pierce gave me a job trimming the plants. As more people arrived, I just sorta roamed the house. Tom has a gerbil! ^_^ And it looks just like Coal....but it actually runs on its wheel!! That is the first gerbil I've ever seen doing that. Anyway, some people started playing football and I just kinda stood around, talking to a few people here and there. Then the food was served. Mmm...lasagna and breadsticks. After I was full, I started entering conversations here and there. That was pretty fun. Some people kept trying to get a game of cops & robbers going, but it took quite awhile. While they were still trying to set it up, the girls on the team got shirts. Yay!! ^_^ Then we started the game. It was already pitch black outside, so I tried to catch up with Mike and Chris. Since I had no idea how to get to AHS (the target was the flag pole) from Bremond, I just followed them. Ugh. We sprinted practically the whole way and we took the long route (we overshot). Haha. Jason and Thomas (the cops) only caught 2 people. Then we played again going back to Rachel and Tom's house. Right as Abby, Aly, and I were running across the parking lot a cop pulled us over. A REAL cop. He started asking us questions (I don't think he believed we were playing cops and robbers at first). After confirming that we weren't Rebels (Abby and I were wearing our AHS shirts. DUH), he let us go on. After awhile, we caught up with Cy (how the heck do you spell his name), GAV, and this one diver girl. Honestly, I just followed them. And yet again, we overshot. By about 4 blocks. It was pretty bad. Then we walked to place we were supposed to have turned at and Cy called Jason and told them where we were. So when we saw the car coming, Aly, Abby, and started running to find a hiding place. I started running toward a tree, but then I saw a bush that would be perfect, so I turned to run behind. I crashed into Abby. It was pretty funny, but we ended up getting caught because of it. ^_^' As we started walking back towards the house, this guy in front of his house (the garage was open and some guy I assumed to be his son was working on something in the car) called to us and told us to go to him. So we did. He asked us what we would say if we died that night and went up to the pearly gates and we were asked why we should be allowed into heaven. Then he started asking us a bunch of other religious type questions and preached to us. I didn't like it, but I had no intention of showing in any way I was an atheist. So I lied when he asked us whether we had accepted the Lord and all that junk and nodded my head. Afterwards I explained my discomfort to Abby and Aly. Then they started asking me a bunch of questions. I didn't like that. You know, all you Christians go to church and stuff and learn what you're supposed to believe and what to say when people ask you why you believe what you do. Atheists get nothing. IT'S HARD TO EXPLAIN. I'M NOT CAPABLE OF EXPLAINING IT TO OTHER PEOPLE (although it makes a lot of sense to me). We continued walking back to the Pierces. My dad had called me right before the guy called us over, so he was there to pick me up by the time the 3 of us got back. Then I left.
Well, that was a very high school-ish experience. 0.0

Mmmmmm.....
Hola! I really did mean to post on either Wednesday or yesterday, but it didn't happen. Oh well.
Brad told us what events we were going to be in at the Lubbock relays and San Angelo. Oh my gosh! Abby isn't allowed to swim at San Angelo! All because she transfered to AHS. We have such a loser system. Anyway, I'm in two different medley relays- the 200 (or 100- not sure) and the 300. I'm also in the breaststroke and t-shirt relays. Soon, I'll be going to my first ever pasta party. Whoo! At the San Angelo meet, I'm going to be in the 100 breast, but 'Coach Douglass' hasn't decided on my 2nd event yet. I really don't care what I'm in as long as I can swim breaststroke. I love it so much. ^_^
3-That spanish test was easy (actually studied a little for this one, but it ended up that I didn't need to since it was just conjugation). 4-I'm a bad partner. >.<' Bad Scrapie!! 5- Easy test yesterday (didn't study either). I always get really hyper during lunch, but this boring class always kills my mood. -_- 6- Easy test on Wednesday (didn't study for this one either). Yesterday we had a fire drill. Whee! ^_^ 7- Easy test today. (went to study session and studies right before the test, otherwise nothing) 8- We recorded our childrens' book today. Ugh, I hate my voice.
I hope tomorrow will be fun. :3
I also am looking forward to Monday.
Note- My parents have said that people can't swim in the pool in their clothes anymore. The dyes and detergents and such screw up the chemicals.
That is all. (Gosh, that was short.)
~Scrapie
P.S.- In response to Billiam's comment: No, I am not gay. You're the one who started the whole bi thing in the first place. I'm just having some fun with it. Plus, I found out that October 11th was NCOD from the calendar I got from the UHS people at DOBIE when we took you down there. Geez Billiam. It's all your fault. |

Heck Yes!
Before I do my real post, I must get this out of the way.
Happy Birthday Zack!!
Okay. Now for the phrase of the day: Heck yes!! I said that quite a bit today.
In swimming today, I paid for my shirt. Erica (girls' team captain) replied upon receiving it, "Cool beans! Thx girl!" Okay, okay, she didn't actually say 'thx', but that the way I imagined it by the way she said it. More proof that the people on that team are people I would normally never associate with otherwise. I got kinda hyper around 4th period/lunch. I'm exicted about the Lubbock relays, the 3 day weekend, and October 11th. I intend to invite you people over on Sunday/Monday to do stuff. All in celebration of October 11th- National Coming Out Day. Heck yes!! I got hyper again in 6th period when I talked to Cydney and Jon instead of doing that review. Cydney's story about the guy with the fedora was quite hilarious. Jon said she was ranting, but she refused to use that word, instead insisting she was "just going on and on about her extreme attraction" for fedora man. She's going to become his stalker. (Remember kiddies, Stalking Awareness Month isn't until January). Speaking of Awareness Months, I need to bring my wicked cool UHS calendar to school again so I can show it to those two. The awareness months and special days brought up the topic of This Book Will Change Your Life. Apparently, Cydney has seen it. We had a lovely conversation. Man, I love biology. In other news, the school continues to be insane. A test in every class this week. Blech. I'm now three dollars the richer. Whee! The people in my group in Theatre each gave me a dollar to buy a book for our project. But why bother buying a book when you've got a whole library of them in your house? I just picked out a book that looked pretty new and would never be used by us again. I'm keeping the money. ^_^
You are the weakest link. Goodbye.

x_x'
Here's a quick post for you.
Yesterday was Zack's birthday party. Movie fun! That poor cat- always being thrown at people.
My internet has been screwing up quite a bit lately, so my dad fixed it all today. It took forever. Of course, now it's screwed up in a different way, but at least the internet works. -_-' He also went ahead and updated some stuff and FINALLY got around fixing my archerclan e-mail address. Oh my gosh! It hasn't worked for about two, and now I have over 500 messages! Grr! A lot of them were notices about get-togethers and such, which I had no idea would be happening until either the night before, the morning of, or 15 min. before when my mom told me. How annoying. I'd told my dad MANY times about the problem, but he never fixed it. Most of them don't even matter anymore because the events are over. But some others it really hurts for me to read and know that a message like that was e-mailed to me and I didn't know. My dad also took the liberty of starting to add my mom's music onto my iTunes. I don't want my mom's music though. Not that I think it's bad or anything, but I just don't want it on my computer. Luckily I stopped the copying while it was still only in the A's (which actually includes more than you would think). Ugh. *sigh*
Well, I think that's about all there is to say. I've been really tired today.
